This free Capx file contains a basic example of using repeat and scrolling Tiled Background Objects to achieve an animation and movement effect. By using Tiled Background Objects instead of sprite objects, movement and animations can cheaply be created without having to waste memory on drawn animations.
This Construct 2 Capx example used five Tiled Background Objects to create a seaside scene, where by a sea flows to the left as cars drive to the right. Clouds sail upwards while abstract birds fly downward. The mechanism behind the scrolling effect is simple. The Tiled Background Objects are simply sized so that they are a relevant large size, and then once they have moved the distance of their images length/height, they are repositioned. The effect is that continuous movement.
