This Capx file demonstrates different methods for creating scrolling background effects in Construct 2. Instead of using parallax or sprite animations, it instead uses Tiled Background Objects and controls their size and position to create dynamic visuals. There are four main examples, where the Tiled Backgrounds are moved along one axis, two axes, layered as a mask and then two Tiled Background object areas used to create an animating visual (Laser beam).
The event sheet is fully annotated and there is an accompanying YouTube video to help explain the mechanics of the Capx, focusing primarily on the use of Tiled Background Objects.
This Capx also includes the use of fade transitions, button navigation, sprites, layers, and a blend effect.
